Colourful display from Red Arrows
THE Red Arrows give Great North Runners a jet boost yesterday as they cross Newcastle’s Tyne bridge.
A record 52,000 people took part in the world’s biggest half-marathon yesterday, including Olympic gold medallists Rebecca Adlington, 19, and Chris Hoy, 32.
The runners enjoyed clear blue skies as they raised an estimated £10million for charity.
