and you thought fish were fun! well a guy in Israel's Meir Medical Centre in Kfar Saba did not think so, he was stuck in the face when a needlefish lept from the sea and embedded it's beak in the mans face, it's jaws hit with such force that they pierced his naval cavity, went through his maxillary sinus and stopped just short of the wall of his eye socket, according to a paper due to be published in the Journal of Craniomaxillofacial Surgery, surgeons managed to remove the jaws of the needlefish and the patient was discharged with no further complications, Ouch! if you have read some of my previous "Do Not Mess With Fish!" posts you will see that this is not the first time needlefish have done this, so next time you are at sea, "Keep your head down!"
