Some pictures of Diana and Myself, where we now live and places around us, things that we find interesting, amusing or just plain weird!

Now This Is A Good Idea,
with spiraling transport cost,
narrow streets and the closeness of many customers, staff at a branch of Waitrose in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, came up with the idea of hand delivery's, so the cart was provided for them by Waitrose in response, customers still pay the same delivery charge but receive their order with out the CO2 from a lorry that normally accompanies it, the staff are said to be 'enjoying the chance to get a bit of exercise and fresh air'
a century ago Waitrose - founded in 1904 in Acton Hill, West London - made its first deliveries by bicycle and then by horse and cart, but it has no record of using hand-carts, if the pilot scheme works out, Waitrose plans to introduce similar carts at more of its 198 stores, all I can say Is "Well done Waitrose"
