Another Late Birthday Treat!
but first it was to the IT center,
before meeting Mark for a coffee, up till then the day had not been going well, my printer had stopped working so thinking it was a hard ware problem we took it to be checked, it was OK so it is a soft ware problem, Monday Wattana Computers will call round hopefully to fix it, then I went to get a new cover for my phone a Nokia N95, the back had broken and it is held together with an elastic band, the problem being when the band breaks the battery falls out, guess what, the guys in two shops could not undo the screws to change the other part of the cover, so I will keep to the elastic bands, then on to the shoe shop to buy a couple of pairs of light coloured casual shoes - any colour you want as long as it is black!
we were going to go to Starbucks but it was full so we went to the coffee shop down the road called Gafae, what a find, the ice coffee's were nicer than Starbucks and about 30% cheaper, no more Starbucks for us, what a pleasant find!
nice outside seating and great for people watching,
the view across the street,
almost opposite the all glass fronted place,
myself and Mark,
just in front of us was this lady selling honey, the problem was she brought her own bees with her!
then in the evening Riza and Anchisa called in with Mike and Mark,
after a few G & T's it was off to Pagoda for a meal,
we had to wait at the bar, they were full but luckily a table became free, we all remarked that although things are tight this restaurant is still full to over flowing,
Mark and Mike having a cigarette break,
Anchisa and Mark,
Diana and birthday boy wearing his birthday shirt,
and Mike and Riza,
the girls strike the pose,
umbrellas on the ceiling make for an unusual display,
looking towards the bar,
the starter for me was scallops rolled in bacon on a bed of fried onions and potatoes,
prawn cocktail for Diana,
and soup for Riza and Mike,
Anchisa did not have a starter but had to wait till the main courses arrived,
for Mark and myself a lamb shank,
sirloin for Diana,
cordon blue and salad for Mike and fish for Riza,
"Cheers!" from all of us,
for desert hot cherries and ice cream,
why no more of jeff and da?
ReplyDeleteDear Anonymous, Jeff left for the States some time ago, he has now returned to Thailand but not in Pattaya, we still keep in touch and he and Da are hoping to call in to see us some time this year, so he will be back on the blog then, best regards, Stan and Diana.
