First Thing We Went To The IT Center,

in the basement there is a shop that sells household goods, the water thingy in the bathroom has sprung a leak so we had to get a new chrome covered 1 meter hose for it, 150 baht and 2 minutes, we now have a dry bathroom floor, but whilst there we treated our selves to some DVD's, from the top a Hellraiser we had not got, Seven Wonders Of The Industrial World, Mike and Riza called round last night and I had the story of Ismabard Kingdom Brunnel's steam ship the Great Eastern on in the back ground, it was a roughly a 1 hour long BBC drama/documentary, it looked really interesting, so I will be watching it again, but paying more attention, also featured is the Panama canal and the Hover dam, I seem to remember the guy that pushed the workers so hard on that project was a guy named Crow, and four other huge projects, then a DVD about sea dinosaurs and finally a DVD with one of Diana's favorite actors Jack Nickolson in About Schmidt,
also Diana loves playing games on the computer so we also boight a DVD with about 40 of them on it, for breakfast/lunch a sushi bar had opened on the ground floor of the center, so 100 baht's worth of sushi for me,
Diana taking a self portrait as I watch television,
Mike and Riza called round and treated us to a meal at the Rimpa Lapin, it is on the beach near Ban Saray, it is a little bit difficult to find, but what a gem! one tip, get there early, it was packed!
the map above should help,
Diana and myself at the entrance,
on the way into the dinning area the trees were festooned with lights,
the view from our table looking towards the Ambassador with Pattaya in the distance,
Riza and Mike getting all romantic!
and "Cheers!" from Diana and me,
the view looking towards Sattahip, if you like a house with a sea view the one on the left is pretty nice,
we were so hungry I forgot to take a picture of the prawn doughnuts and chicken till we had almost ate most of it!
also mixed vegetables and scallops with asparagus,
we also had fried fish with these lettuce leaves a few things to go with it, garlic, onions, peanuts, limes and a few others, basically you make a lettuce/fish sandwich with the other bits thrown in,
and a really nice plate of crab meat, I must admit in the UK where we have the big cromer crabs or in France where I have eaten spider crabs I do not mind shelling them, but in Thailand the crabs are sometimes so small sometimes getting the meat is such a trial, so it was a nice surprise to find it all done!
Riza showing us how to make a lettuce and fish sandwich,
just to much food!
but we finished it all,
Diana as lovely as ever,
ah! so romantic! and it was, the background music was just right, a good selection of songs and not to loud,
on our way out after a desert of ice creams and sorbets, the trees decked with lights,
the main entrance table and reception.
the illuminated walkway to the car park,
looking back to the main reception area, this was a real find, 100% recommended, I am sitting here now trying to find a fault with the place but I can not, the food, service, music, you name it could not have been better, and the best bit? including corkage change out of 2,000 baht! many thanks to Mike and Riza, this is one place I know we will be back to!
