I Love Fast Cars,

and this 195mph Lamborghini Gallardo is just one of many, 0 to 60mph in four seconds, they cost between £115,000 and £130,000, while second-hand prices usually start from around £70,000 for this 2005 model below,
well instead of going from 0 to 60 it went from £70,000 to zero in 4 minutes when it caught fire, the two occupants had to leap for their lives when the car ground to a halt near the Solstice bar in Peterborough, rather worryingly for all super car owners it appears if you can not get out of one that is on fire you have a real problem,
chief volunteer fire officer Tony De Matteis said: ‘It was a bit of an unusual one for us because it was quite different from the usual Fiestas or Escorts that we get called to, this one was made worse for us because there is so much carbon fibre and alloy construction with high-performance cars, which makes it more of an intense fire than a standard car.’ it took some 20 minuets to bring the blaze under control,
I have never thought of that before, but I suppose super cars, because of different materials may burn faster than a steel Fiesta or Escort, time for super car manufacturers to think of putting in an automated fire extinguishing system in, perhaps now that the problem is known, see health and safety at work again!
