Happy Birthday To Tom!

Saturday afternoon and it was over to Tom's house,
Tom hard at work already,
English Mark and Big Jim were there already,
we had all arrived at 1 for a game of Diplomacy, scheduled to finish at 4.30, for the real party to begin, but first a breakfast of open ham rolls topped with poached eggs and Hollandaise sauce, Tom's son Mark looking on,
we had a table and chairs outside,
Steve (B2), American and Welsh Mark's were also there, Tom and American Mark had played this game before, but it was new to the rest of us, Big Jim won, I lost the most armies and was last, no surprise there then!
then a change of clothes as the other guests arrived,
Joe, Grieg, Welsh Mark and John Boy,
birthday boy Tom chilling out,
Diana was looking forward to Precil and Riza arriving,
meanwhile at the back of the house and in the kitchen food in abundance was being prepared,
fresh oysters,
vegetables,
peppers and onions,
and garlic bread were all being made ready,
Big Jim and Mr. Tony share a joke,
Diana and Precil,
Mark and Tom,
some of the boys and girls from Sisterz,
everybody having a drink and a chat,
some of the presents for Tom,
and the food is served, delicious chicken rolls but the outer was like a Mexican soft bread, nice,
and Riza joins Diana and Precil,
so much food, baked mussells, chicken, fish and shrimps,
all night long there was a constant supply of ice cold Margarita's,
little Laura playing beside Tom and Mike,
Tom has some bamboo seats, as everyone called in Tom would say do not sit on them if you are over 100 kilos - you can see where I am going with this one! - well Mike announced that it was OK as he was only 99 kilos, he sat down and there was an enormous "Crack!" sound, roars of laughter and cries of shame filled the air, sorry Mike it was to good not to put on the blog!
but to every ones relief the chair was not damaged, everyone had a great time, many thanks to Tom and Gig for inviting us all to their house and for all of the effort it must have taken to supply and prepare the food and drinks, "Happy Birthday to Tom!"
