and some very professional welds on the exhaust expansion box, neat,
we were off to the Tuck Com center, this is the rear entrance, Diana wanted to buy I think Final Destination 4, but it will not be here till next week or so, but we still managed to buy 6 other DVD's,
then outside for a Starbucks, Anchisa and Mark,
myself and Diana, it is always nice sitting here and watching people go by,
then on the way home to the soup stall, still a lot of the stalls not there, I almost wonder if another place like this has opened up some where else,
Diana striking the pose,
and me waiting for the soup with DVD's and the dress that Diana bought in the IT Center,
Diana said she would like to see more of Judge John Deed, so it was on to series 3,
we also watched the first episode of the first series of New Tricks, a series in which a few retired police men reexamine old cold cases, actually being old all of them have a few 'eccentricity's' we enjoyed the first so much we watched 2 more episodes before it was time for bed, but I must say in passing what a great favour UBC/True vision has done for us, if they had not taken off BBCE from their schedule we would never have bought all of these DVD's and watched them, or cancelled our yearly subscription to UBC/True, more importantly I am now saving 28,800 baht a year that their service cost and we are not getting all of their repeats!
Excellent Blog, Stan. Thank You.
ReplyDeleteGlad you have come across New Tricks on DVD. This is a show I very much enjoy in the UK. Great acting, and the caracters really bounce off each other.
Another series to watch out for, if you haven't already, is City of Vice, Series 1. It is set in London of 1793, with the crime situation in the centre of London reached breaking point.
It is left to novelist and magistate Henry Fielding, and his blind brother John, to create 'The Bow Street Runners' to try and rid the streets of London of prostitution and crime.
This is a 5 part Channel 4 Drama with an impressive cast headed by Ian McDiarmid and Iain Glenn.
p.s. Where do you keep all your new acquired DVD's? Do you have shelving or a DVD library?
Dear Anonymous, we watched another 3 episodes of New Tricks last night, again it did not disappoint, many thanks for the info about City of Vice, being over here one tends to be 'out of the loop' when it comes to new programs, but it sounds just up our street, it will go on my 'to buy' list, when I go back to the UK it will be waiting for me, I have had a quick look but there are no DVD's for sale yet, but hopefully there will be soon, for us we just have a couple of shelves for DVD's and music CD's in what I call my office, a small room with our computer bits in it, glad that you enjoy the blog, well back to the blog now to do the last bit of today’s, best regards, Stan and Diana.
