Last Week We Talked Of Going To The Auction Again So Off We Went,

it is on Soi Charapong 2, over the railway tracks and on the left about 300 meters along, it is there every Saturday, Big Jim, Diana, Joe and myself, the picture was taken by the nameless one, as well as furniture and household goods there were a few bike's and a couple of cars for auction,
Joe got into bidding mode and bought a folding mirror and a inlaid box,
then it was time for our regular Saturday get together, Big Jim stayed with us from the auction, first to arrive was Jay and Precil,
followed by Martin and Joy, here with James the son of Richard and Beth, Jay and Tom sharing a joke or two,
Big Jim, Martin, who does not drink alcohol and Richard,
food was served and I was a bit late with the camera, mussells, tilipia, satay and chips,
then the fried fish arrived along with a delicious chicken and vegetable stew made by Big Jim,
meanwhile the girls downstairs were having a feast,
upstairs once again we put the world to rights, then Tom mentioned he wanted to buy some big trees, so I suggested the cannonball tree, which no one had heard of and thought I had made it up, so to save sending emails here are a few pictures of one, the flowers and fruit grow out of the trunk of the tree, this is one in fruit, the trunk with fruit and flowers, the fruit when ripe drop to the ground and break apart, the smell is not very nice to say the least,
in contrast to the flowers which do smell very nice, if you want to see one in the flesh as it were, drive towards Sattahip and stop off at the agriculture college on the left just past the town of Bann Ampore, in the grounds they have a cannonball tree there, it is huge and that is how I know what the fruit and flowers smell like, it is a native of South America, but some say it also is native to Guiana and Sri Lanka, then as time wore on it was time for our guests to leave, once again many thanks to everyone for helping out on the food and drink front, it is always appreciated,
so feet up to watch a bit of TV, first Ice Age 3, we enjoyed 1 & 2 and I hoped this would be as good, and it was, having seen the previous 2 we were aware of the characters and their foibles, for me the funniest scene was where, no that would spoil it, you will have to see it yourself!
after that Diana asked to watch some more of Judge John Deed, this time we started the first DVD of series 2, and it did not disappoint, it almost made me wish I had been born clever enough to be a judge, no I do not want to be a lawyer! then off to bed.
