We Had A Quite Day Today,

I did not even go upstairs to do anything to the railway, but in the evening I had said that we would go to the Pagoda restaurant for a romantic meal together, so it was on with the glad rags, having heard that it is always full at the week ends we arrived there just after 6 in the evening,
but it was all in vain, the notice on the door said 'Closed on Sundays' D'Oh!
so it was off to Cherry's on Third Road, we were given a complimentary starter of spring rolls, then for her starter Diana had baked salmon,
for me huge green mussels with a spicy sauce and garlic bread,
followed by a lemon sorbet,
rib eye steak and mashed potatoes for Diana,
and an Australian Angus steak for me,
"Cheers!" from both of us,
then for desert a banana split, all in all a lovely meal, the total including a 200 baht corkage fee and a couple of vodka sodas was 1,650 baht, but next time I will try to remember that The Pagoda is closed on Sundays! during the day we watched Gladiator, a good all action movie, another couple of episodes of Judge John Deed, then Diana asked to watch some more of It Ain't Half Hot Mum, so we started the second series, then still feeling full it was off to bed.
