Mr. Tony Is Back!

and Diana is all smiles, not only that Mr. Tony is back, but look at the chocolates! all from Diana's personal favorite shop Hotel Chocolate, we had more than a few cups of tea whilst we swapped news and stories, then we were off to Cherry's, we took the truck, Pattaya was in the middle of a huge thunder storm and it was chucking it down, but Diana's new top and the well stocked salad bar made up for the slight wetting we got from the truck to the restaurant,
Diana's salad and complimentary tomatoes on toast, I had the lamb special, included was a soup, which Diana found delicious,
"Cheers!" from me with what was left of the soup,
our main courses arrive,
Diana had chicken breasts stuffed with mushrooms and spinach,
I had the lamb special, two chops two slices of the bone and a leg knuckle, the meat just fell off the bone, and what a flavour, full compliment of vegetables included,
it was bigger than it looks in the picture, I could not finish it all,
"Cheers!" from Diana,
I was so full I could not eat the desert even though it was included in the price, not so Diana! we then started talking about the art of 'gurning', every year, supposedly since 1267 the good folks of the village of Egremont, West Cumbria have their Crab Apple Fair (of which the World Gurning Championships is part), on the third Saturday of September each year, gurning is the art of pulling ugly faces, if you are wondering what a crab apple is look here, they can be made into a nice jelly, chillies can also be added to it, but the apples themselves are a bit sour to eat,
so Diana had a try at gurning,
and another,
then it was my turn, well no prizes for seeing who won! again another lovely meal, with corkage the meal came to just under 980 baht, but it was a bit high because I had the lamb which is very expensive out here, in all of our travels we have never seen a sheep out here so it all has to be imported, then home feet up and off to bed.

  2. Dear Anonymous, you may have noticed what you are reading is a daily blog for family and friends, so yes we do eat every day - sometimes twice a day - sorry about that, but in-between we do pop around town every now and then, if you are out here you should try some of the places we go to, best regards and Bon Aperitif, Stan and Diana.
