We Had A Late Sunday Roast Again At The 99 baht Restaurant In Soi Diana,

part of the Renaissance Hotel about half way along it,
view from the bar on the other side of the street,
we stopped there for a beer before eating,
but then who should ride past? well as Noel Coward once wrote, Mad Dogs and Englishmen go out in the midday sun, I do not know this guys name but we have seen him so often about town but by the time I have got my camera out he has almost disappeared - but not this time!
and like a golden flash he was gone, all I know is that he is a Brit and seems perfectly harmless, and has made many tourists and ex-pats smile,
Diana decided to go blue today, blue top and earrings, so what else than a blue slushy to make it all complete?
"Cheers!" from me, we both had the remarkably good value 99 baht roast dinner,
the service staff are top rate, fast service with a smile,
and are happy top pose with the dinners,
the meal was huge, roast beef, chicken and pork, mash and fried potatoes, carrots and peas with a bread roll, also a salad is served first, I could not finish all of mine,
Diana said she was hungry,
and she was not joking, this is the second empty plate, she ate all of the first one and all of the second - and then ate my bread roll!
we had a large carafe of wine between us, the meal, wine and slushy was 650 baht, what terrific value for money, most importantly though the food was good as was the service, I just do not know how the owners can offer such a good deal,
then it was home, so we settled down to watch the first of the Hornblower series, Diana loved it, well we both did,
it was so good we decided to stay up watch the other half of series one, so about 3 in the morning it was off to bed.
