Do Not Mess With Fish 85!

and you thought fish were fun! I have always thought of 'serious' fishing as a solitary sport, or like out here 6 or 8 of us arrive for some food and drink with a bit of fishing thrown in,
but in Hwacheon in South Korea the ice festival attracted some 200,000 people over the weekend, and which organisers anticipate will see more than a million taking part by the end of the three-week event, around 9,000 holes have been ready drilled in the ice, with around two metres of clean water beneath them and 32 tons of fresh trout are added to the river every day,
the frozen river, which is around 12 miles south the demilitarized zone separating the country from North Korea in the Gangwon-do province, is the first part of South Korea that freezes over in winter because of its fresh water and cold winds in the valley, the ice is around 16 inches (40cm) thick, so there is no danger of some one falling in, though if UK health and safety officials were there the event would be banned, but for me far to cold, if it is not warm enough for the vodka to evaporate out of my soda I will stay at home and order in fish and chips to go!
