Do Not Mess With Fish 90!

and you thought fish were fun! remember the song 'It's Raining Men' by The Weather Girls ? well in Lajamanu, Australia they will have to change the words to 'It's raining fish'! situated 326 miles from the nearest river the small silver fish rained from the sky for over 2 hours, local Christine Balmer said: "I haven't lost my marbles. They fell from the sky everywhere. Locals were picking them up off the footie oval." the fish are believed to be common spangled perch, Mark Kersemakers, a senior forecaster at the Australian Bureau of Meteorology, said: "the thunderstorm could have scooped the fish up 40,000 to 50,000 feet in the air, once they get up into the system they are pretty much frozen, after some period they are released." in a case of third time lucky the town in Australia's Northern Territory has a population of 669, last week's event was the third time it had happened - the fishy phenomenon also struck in 1974 and 2004, imagine this thunderstorm happening in Africa, "look out elephants!"
