We Are Staying In All Day Today,

the technician from 3BB Internet cable company is calling in to hook us up, we called in there yesterday to confirm we were on his list, so feet up have a cup of tea then Phil called round with his latest purchase a Harley, it was huge, 400 miles on the clock so far, as bright as a button, this brings the total to 4 Harley's that he has, for me the most desirable is the German supercharge one, the Von-Harley as I think it is called, I must remember to ask Phil which one he likes to ride the most,
twin front disc brakes to bring this monster to a standstill, it comes complete with a radio,
Phil playing with the buttons and switches,
Mick called round as well, we were trying to find the pump up point for the air suspension,
we did have to pop out for a couple of minutes at lunch time to buy some things for tonight's meal, but here is a bar-b-q with home made chimney,
at least it keeps the smoke from his eyes!
some fresh fruit for later,
cauliflower for tonight,
the fish stall all alive, alive oh!
a few onions,
we did not buy any but there were plenty of sausages on sticks,
evening at last, roast chicken and potatoes, cauliflower, broccoli and onion gravy, delicious,
today was sooo hot, just a fraction under 40C on our min/max thermometer by the front door, it was now 6.00 in the evening the 3BB technician did not call round as promised, what a minute why did I ever think he would? may be I am getting too cynical in my old age!
so off to the Thepprisit market, first stall from the bike park, fresh coconuts,
the seasons have changed, now at 6.15 it is still light, also not all of the stalls have set up yet,
we both walk round the market separately, if not anything Diana wants will be at a higher price if I am there, but I waited till she was near me before taking the shot, she had not seen me waiting for her to pass,
a view from the steps next to the beer bar, no special promotions today,
some of the food stalls, still a bit quiet but it is still early,
then for me along to the flower and fish stalls, first the flowers this one a orchid,
as they say out here 'same, same, but different',
but these are different, air plants, they have no roots, require no soil and grow on the branches of larger trees non-parasitically, native mostly to Central America, some prefer dry desert climates, while others thrive in warm moist jungles, they get all their nutrition from the dust and moisture found in the air, so you can now keep your home dust free, air plants eat dust!
then to the marine shop,
if you have a big enough aquarium there is a sand shark for sale, as well as sea horses and damsel fish,
I decided to buy a few fish for our tanks,
10 fish for 100 baht, bargain!,
hopefully a future fish keeper in the making,
then along to the beer bar,
'Cheers!' from me and the fish,
a little later Mike and Riza arrived so the girls went out on a shopping fest,
whilst Mike and myself had a couple of cool beers, Mike and Riza then called round, we had not seen them for a few weeks so we had a lot of catching up to do, Mike and his job, me and my Barclaycard for another, after they left we watched another episode of The Brief, then it was off to bed.
