Joe Called To Say He Was In The Area,

so how about a spot of lunch?
the good news was that Joe was driving, I really do not like driving over here,
so it was off to the Caddy Shack opposite the Eden in Soi 17,
just outside I noticed this mobile bar-b-q, horse or people pulled I wonder? but with those metal wheels you should be able to hear it before you see it,
a spicy breakfast/lunch for Diana,
beef stew for myself, mince for Joe, we had loads to catch up on, then upstairs for a dabble on the railway,
I started to place some ground cover on the right back of the layout,
not a good picture, but it is starting to look quiet nice,
the river bed still has to be painted and a few white bits of plaster covered in,
but still a long way to go,
whilst upstairs Mark called in, it was so hot I called it a day, then Phil called by for a tea and a chat, pork chop and all of the trimmings for our evening meal,
after eating I popped out to the local 7 - 11 to buy some bread and a few sweets for Diana when I saw this, inside it had lots of little candy sweets, but if you shook it the red face hit the green balls and made a terrible clacking sound, Diana loved it - I am not so sure about the neighbours!
then The Killing Fields, Sydney Schanberg is a New York Times journalist covering the civil war in Cambodia, together with local representative Dith Pran, they cover some of the tragedy and madness of the war, when the American forces leave, Dith Pran sends his family with them, but stays behind himself to help Schanberg cover the event, as an American, Schanberg won't have any trouble leaving the country, but the situation is different for Pran; he's a local, and the Khmer Rouge are moving in, a moving and terrible story,
Kavanagh QC, A Sense of Loss was next on the view list, the shooting of a young policewoman draws Kavanagh into a tragic case in which his client refuses to help himself, then off to bed.
