Time For My Yearly Retirement Visa,

so along to Pattaya Immigration on Jomtien Soi 5,
the new building next to the immigration center is almost finished,
I picked up the forms and made our way to the restaurant on the road, I did not catch its name as it was in Russian,
the inside was nice and clean,
but there was a lack of customers,
we were joined by Alex, Diana had a Thai dish and of course prawn cocktail for me, then back home,
shortly after we arrived home Nick, Maureen and Ta-Taa called in for a cup of tea and a chat,
then Mick and Mass called in to say bye as they are leaving for the UK tomorrow,
by now it was time for our romantic meal out, so it was glad rags on,
and where else but Cherry's for its Wednesday evening International buffet, easy to find it is opposite the X-cyte disco on Third road,
there is the normal salad bar but with the addition of all of these starters in the foreground,
starters for myself consisted of boiled egg, chicken, smoked salmon, parma ham wrapped melon, beetroot, crab stick salad, potato salad and two prawn and avocado 'spoons',
'Cheers!' from me, the starters were so nice I had a second helping, again two prawn spoons, two huge mussels, smoked salmon, a couple of small slices of roast beef and some chicken pate on toast, for me the starters would be enough alone,
but it was then on to the soup course, tonight lobster soup which Diana pronounced delicious,
naturally we had breaks between courses, this was not a meal that could be rushed, but now on to the main courses,
you name it and it was here, the variety of food was simply amazing,
three sides of this large table were weighed down with tempting dishes,
Diana had a taster of duck, beef, pork and chicken all cooked in different sauces,
'Cheers!' from both of us, by now we were so full, but we still had the desserts to sample,
so to the dessert table we went,
I had a raspberry mousse and chocolate crème brûlée, Diana just the crème brûlée, now for the reckoning, we took a Secrets taxi which was 150 bath each way and supplied our own bottle of wine, so corkage was added to the bill, the total bill for the meal was change from 900 baht, or in UK money at today's rate £9.12 a head, great food and great value for money,
then back to 388, feet up and watch a bit of television,
the start of Kavanagh QC, a crusty barrister oversees difficult criminal cases while dealing with the demands of his family life, a little bit like John Deed, but in its own way different, we watched Season 1 Episode 1, Nothing but the Truth, then off to bed.
