We Had A Quiet Day,

Mr. Tony called round for a couple of hours around midday, we had another game of Monopoly, do not ask who won, but it was not me! then Mark called in, after he left a shower and shave for me, glad rags on for Diana and we were off to the Gossip Cafe on the roundabout at the back of the Tuc Com center,
a glass of wine to start the meal as usual, and a vanilla milkshake for Diana,
Diana had mixed vegetables with chicken and rice,
I had the 199 baht special, onion soup,
followed by a breaded pork fillet, covered with onions, mushrooms and bacon with chips and coleslaw,
'Cheers!' from both of us,
also included in the 199 baht special, an ice cream dessert,
including a carafe of wine just on 700 baht for both of us, again there were not many customers here, we took our time but only two other dinners came in to eat, the fashion show was as good as ever, it appears that a lot of young Western ladies stay at the hotel, so for 30 minuets or so before 8.00 in the evening there seems to be a never ending stream of them going out for a walk,
then home feet up for a couple of full length movies, first The Mirror Crack'd, based on the novel by Agatha Christie, the year is 1953, the small English village of St. Mary Mead, home to Miss Jane Marple, is delighted when a big American movie company arrives to make a movie, but an innocent well wisher is handed a deadly drink, who was it really meant for? and who made it?
followed by another with Peter Ustinov playing again Poirot in Evil Under the Sun, he is called in to investigate a case for an insurance company regarding firstly a dead woman's body found on a moor and then a important diamond sent to the company to be insured turns out to be a fake, Poirot discovers that the diamond was bought for Arlena Marshall by Sir Horace Platt and Arlena is on her honeymoon with her husband and step-daughter on a tropical island hotel, it's only a matter of time before Arlena turns up dead, but who did it and why? a couple of really great films, just one thing though, why do the film producers not release them with sub titles, they must miss out on a huge market for the hard of hearing, also it makes following some of the accents for Diana much easier to understand, all of the past 4 DVD's have not had this feature, oh well nothing we can do about it, then off to bed.
