then Nick spotted this flying beetle making it's way home, Diana said that when she was at school with her friends they would find these beetles and tie a piece of string round the horn at the front of the insects body, it could then be induced to fly tethered to the string as a buzzing flying 'toy',
Jeff and Da arrived in the afternoon,
first a pre dinner drink,
then Jeff mixed up some truly exotic cocktails that were based on peach schnapps,
pose for the camera!
then round two with the crackers,
some took a lot of pulling to pull them apart!
then it was time for Jeff and Da to try,
guess who won both hats and gifts!
next Maureen won,
then Diana and Da have a try,
hats all round,
Jeff and Da,
then another game of Monopoly, learning from my past mistakes made yesterday, I bought everything I could, I was first out again!
then time for chocolate ice creams, soon after Jeff and Da left for home, so the 4 of us decided to have another game,
naturally keeping my perfect score I was out first, Nick was the winner - again! now to the answers to yesterdays Christmas cracker questions, what was the name of the Irish National who was knighted in 1911 and hung for treason In 1916? Roger Casement, next which is the largest country in the Horn of Africa? well the answer in the cracker was Somilia but according to index mundia it has 637,657 square kilometers, but the same guide gives Ethiopia area 1,104,300 square kilometers, perhaps some one moved the border? real brainy questions after a few drinks! but in any event we all had a marvelous time with Nick and Maureen, Jeff and Da, then for us off to bed.
I see Jeff is still wearing his shiny shirts. LOL
