We Got To Bed Late,

but I was up early, Brian and Sa were getting their house blessed,
7.00 in the morning and the monks were already there,
if you have not been to a house blessing before this is what happens, food is prepared for the monks over night,
the 9 monks then start to chant, in truth I do not know what but a guess would be to drive away evil spirits and bring good fortune to the house,
the monks then break their fast as food is brought in for them,
one of the monks then places a sign above the door,
again I am not sure what it does, but I guess all who pass under it are blessed by it and it keeps evil out,
after the ceremony the monks leave, the coach behind brought Sa's family down from her home town,
then it is time for everybody else to eat,
whilst there this two wheeled shop arrived,
a large piece of wood was strapped across the back of the bike with more produce balanced on top, then home to wake Diana up! later in the day Mark and Anchisa called in, we also received a phone call from Mike and Riza, last night the girls had decided they wanted to see
The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, in 3D so to avoid a lengthy wait we took the bike to Central Festival, to buy tickets for later that evening, there were police everywhere, luckily we did not get stopped, the one in the underground car park has even had his own police box moved in there! the plot is that Lucy and Edmund Pevensie return to Narnia with their cousin Eustace where they meet up with Prince Caspian for a trip across the sea aboard the royal ship The Dawn Treader, along the way they encounter dragons, dwarves, merfolk, and a band of lost warriors before reaching the edge of the world, gripping stuff with superb special effects especially when water is animated,

the tickets were 250 baht for the 3D show as opposed to 150 ish for the 2D version which was also playing, I must say the 3D effect was the poorest both Diana and myself have seen out of the 7 or so 3D movies we have seen, sure the image on the screen was 3D, but unlike all of the other movies where items really seem to come out of the screen in this movie it just did not happen, different studios different systems I suppose, one thing we did notice though on the way there and back in the evening was that the pedestrian crossings that were not working had still not been repaired and motorbikes still do not even slow down for a red light for them, so no change there then! after the movie home with Mike and Riza for a nightcap or three then off to bed.
