The Day Started With Diana Planting The Bulbs We Bought In The Market,

also we had a bit of shopping to do, these should look good in a year or two, they are amaryllis bulbs, we hope! next to the only original Harley Davidson store in Pattaya, we wanted to buy a friend of ours a genuine Harley T shirt for his birthday, but what a shock, last year the dealership was over flowing with stock, genuine Harley leather jackets, trousers, belts and importantly for us T shirts, this time not a single item was on display, only one bike in the window and empty shelves, considering the number of Harley's in Pattaya I would have thought the only genuine Harley dealership in town would be fully stocked, but we were told go to Bangkok for a T shirt, well we really did not want to make a 220 mile round trip to buy one so that was a bit of advice we decided to ignore, strange thing is that the unofficial Harley dealerships that charge the same prices as the official dealership like Iron Horse or East Coast Choppers are doing a roaring trade, we saw that at the bike show, original Harley Davidson's did not put on a stand this year, I would think that Harley USA must be aware of how poorly they are represented here looking at the lack of orders, but I guess they know best, 220 mile trip to buy the T shirt, yes that will keep the customers from buying fakes!
we also had to pick up some pictures of our trip to the UK for Diana to give to her family, it is easier to get them copied from the Kodak shop than print them at home, well the good news is that we just made it back before the rain,
and did it rain!
after it stopped Phil and Mark called round, for a cup of tea and a chat,
then Phil was off on his German V-Rod, as I have mentioned before it was a bit slow compared to other super bikes, so he fitted a super charger to try to keep up with the others,
then time for an Indian meal, where else than off to the Royal Indian Hut?
only two other customers there tonight,
for a change we had a starter, onion bhajees, I have to admit in the UK to having more than my share of Indian meals on a Friday night, but these were by far the nicest bhajees that I have ever eaten,
delicious especially with the mint dip,
'Cheers!'
Diana said she was really hungry, so I had to put in my claim first!
Diana cleaned her plate of food,
as I was not driving we decided to have a walk in the street so along to Soi Diamond,
and into the street, tourist numbers have definitely gone down, but then that is always the case at this time of year, the busy season being November through to March when it is coolest,
I just love the neon signs,
no doubts as to what they are selling!
then the walk back,
we called in to see Grieg at the Roxy, he also looks after Hooties, there is an interconnecting door between the two, I am with one of the door staff,
next past the bubble making machine seller,
great fun!
trouble is I was the only big kid on the street at that time!
then up through Soi Diamond for our motorcycle taxi's home,
it is the narrow Soi that runs along side the hotel, where there are more than a few restaurants if you are feeling a little peckish,
then home for the second DVD from Attenborough in Paradise,
it is not until you look at his achievements that you realise what a remarkable man he is, then for us off to bed.
