The Morning After,

Saturdays night out it was time for Sunday Lunch, for us to our favorite Sunday lunch restaurant, The Punch & Judy, just as we were parking our bike Russ wobbled into view, if you are not used to traveling on the back of a motorbike it is a bit scary but Russ said this time the driver took things nice and slow,
we chatted away for more than a little while, mostly about our night out the evening before, 'Cheers!'
we all decided on the same dish, roast lamb and delicious it was too,
great food so we all tucked in, one thing I do remember about last night is that Roxy and Hooty's are next door to each other, after leaving Roxy we sat down in Hooty's when some one said, 'look you can see through to Hooty's' I remember replying, 'er no, it is a mirror!' well it seemed funny at the time,
after the main course another round of banoffee pie,
'Cheers!' from me, Diana helped me with this one,
then we said our goodbyes to Russ as this was his last day/evening here before traveling back to the States, have a safe trip,
back home and Diana decided to do a bit of gardening, this is the double flowered fragrant hibiscus I was mentioning yesterday,
meanwhile as I was taking pictures Diana had planted the three new amaryllis into their new pot,
then I watered them, Diana said it was a hot day so she had a cooling shower in the front garden!
all too soon we were down town, Walking Street was packed as it was the last day of the music festival,
Beach Road was filled with stalls on both sides of the road as far as the eye could see,
this is the Chang beer band, just at the end of Walking Street on the beach side of the road,
it was nearly impossible to walk past there were so many people watching and listening,
we did not get too far before Diana spotted some nice belts,
there were so many stalls and people,
a new take on Cabbage Patch Kids, but without the crowds which when they were introduced besieged shops selling them, seems strange to think that was 20 years ago,
but back to the music this group was almost out side the big McDonald's,
I am not sure what they were called, but the noise they made was not unpleasant,
it seems that these plastic light are the rage out here at the moment, there were at least 4 stalls selling them in the short distance that we walked,
did I mention there were lots of stalls out here? next for Diana some shoes,
then who should we bump into? none other than Doc. Jeff, he was making his way along Beach Road cooling down in the bars on the way, hopefully we will meet up some time next week,
then I weaken and bought a shirt, starting price 399baht, but eventually 250baht changed hands, then we turned around and headed back towards Walking Street,
another pair of shoes for Diana, but at the last minute she changed her mind,
past the McDonald's but now another band had began their performance,
we heard a strange sound on the way back and found this chap paling violin to a drum beat background, I almost thought it was Captain Jack Sparrow!
as we neared Walking Street I suggested we had a seat on the waterfront and a drink at the Beer Garden, it is located behind the Siren bar complex,
just as you walk to it there is this small shrine by the side of the walkway,
the walkway leading to the Beer Garden,
nice view along the bay,
looking towards Bali Hai pier this is the back of the sea food restaurants that we have passed so many times on Walking Street,
the Pattaya City sign at Bali Hai pier, there was a group playing there too, but even from where we were sitting I am glad we did not go there, the music was so loud,
'Cheers!' from me, it was so hot a cool beer really hit the spot,
looking out towards sea one of the floating restaurants,
in case you do not know where it is this is the Beer Gardens card,
and map on the back, prices were I thought very resonable considering it is almost on Wlaking Street with nice views of the bay, coke 30 baht, draught Tiger 45 baht,
then back to Walking Street to make our way home, on the right the sea food restaurants the dining areas of which we were looking at earlier,
but first a snack for Diana,
Chicken on a stick for later,
then home feet up for a couple of DVD's firstly a scary darry one The Cave, Dr. Nicolai's scientific team is exploring a flooded cave system, a explosion traps them, after finding a mysterious parasite turning all species carnivore, and later an independently evolved predator species, so under water, in a cave system, dark, trapped and something wants to eat you, what could be worse? in the unflooded caverns the predators can fly!
then from fantasy to fact, based on a true story and characters A Civil Action details the court room battle and personal sacrifices made by a law firm, representing a group of people who believe their drinking water supply was contaminated, leading to a number fo deaths in the community, a thoroughly watchable movie, next for us, off to bed.
