After Staying With Jeff And Da Who Made Us More Than Welcome,

we went in to town to the RCB Hotel in Patong,
nice airy bright room,
and a see through bathroom,
downstairs dining area,
reception and Internet access as you walk in, all brand new, 1,000 baht a night breakfast included, if you are interested have a look here, but be warned there is a 500 baht a night 'joiner' fee for anyone you do not book in with, the brochure, both sides, one of the good things for us was guess who has his offices next door? that's right Joe,
Joe with one of his nearly 50 staff that keep the show on the road,
Joe was off for rehearsals,
and Diana wanted to do some shopping and have a face treatment, so we made our way to Jungceylon past these completed bars,
this one with a huge elephant on top of it,
and a police box in front, here's a tip, do not park your car in front of the police box if you are going into the bars for a drink, your car might be safe but not you!
the lure of McDonald's,
we are now upstairs on the third floor, all of this side of the floor is Joe's theater,
inside 700 brand new seats,
one face treatment and pair of new shoes later, Ronald still has a hold of Diana!
a side view of the elephant,
next door there is another bar complex, this one with a Thai boxing theme as the ticket office is located at the end bar,
Thai boxers over the top of these bars,
if any one wants to see the show this is the front,
and the back of his card,
and the flyer,
both sides,
Diana took the shoes to the hotel room then joined me for a drink, we were going to watch Joe's magic show for the late performance later in the evening, as we were talking knowing Joe was performing the early show I said to Diana pointing over the road, 'look there's Joe!', we always have a game trying to make the other look round, Diana was not having it, she knew he was on stage, in the end she looked,
but look carefully slightly to the right in the center of the picture, in a suit there is Joe, in the middle of his early evening performance!
it was magic! well no not really, it was a cardboard cut out in front of a ticket office!
then back to the hotel to get changed for the evening show,
we settled into our seats, photography is forbidden in the theater, but I gave my camera to that all round good guy Andy, so he shot theses from the back of the theater with no flash, but there was a flash when Joe appeared on stage, one second a lit doorway then there he was,
well it had to happen, Diana was picked to join Joe on the stage,
Joe is going to read her mind to see what cards she chooses,
each card has a colour on it, Joe put his in one side and hopes Diana matches the same with her cards
a quick shuffle,
then the fun begins,
Joe puts all of his cards in,
now Diana's turn, will her selection match his?
just think Joe's whole professional career on the line if Diana makes a mistake!
the die is cast, all is well, the cards match, I have seen many tricks performed before but I must admit Joe had more than a few tricks there that had me stumped, Diana was totally enthralled by it all, a great show, if you have the chance go and see it, the kids will love too,
after the show a few photos with Joe,
and aimabule Andy with Ryan who helps produce the show,
both Diana and myself keep remarking how much like Singapore the whole of this area is like, especialy the food court, like Singapore it is open but weather protected, unlike many of the malls over here which are totaly closed in,
we decided to meet up in the 101 resturaunt,
'Cheers!', from me,
with a steak as a main course for me,
and lasagna for Diana, then for us to the hotel and bed, we have a busy day planned for tomorrow.
