We Had Not Heard From The Company Making Our Sofa Covers,

so we called in, they should have been completed yesterday and would have been, I could see some of them completed, but there was not enough material, so they should be here on Thursday, as we were out and about we called into the open air market for some apples,
and bananas, Diana then bought some of those little round fruits that I do not know the name of,
some vegetables for later in the week,
and three fresh coconuts,
the ones on the left Diana calls, 'bald' ones, Tagalog I believe for naked,
in the west I have seen a few things offered on a stick, toffee apples and candy floss spring to mind, but here we can have local delicacies like catfish,
or frog on a stick, I am have eaten frogs legs many times, but never seen one as a 'walk and go' food,
next stop home, then as we were getting low on a few things we then went to Friendship,
it looked busy with all of the bikes, but there were few shoppers inside, most I think just use the car park rather than parking on the street,
after watching some television it was glad rags on,
to the waiting Secrets taxi,
to take us to Cherry's,
the usual fully stocked salad bar,
although out of turn I took a picture of the desserts before they all went,
which to chose at the end of the meal,
starters for me,
and Diana,
then back to the starters part of the table,
a main course for Diana,
and a few more starters for me, 'Cheers!',
I still felt a little peckish so as Diana had her melon, I had a skewed prawn or two,
Diana also had a cream cake hidden behind the melon,
followed by an ice cream,
a raspberry delight for me, the International buffet has now changed it's nights back to Wednesday and Saturday, for 325 baht a head it has got to be one the greatest deals in town, on another menu we noticed the one below,
it is to celebrate Cherry's fifth anniversary in a couple of weeks time, for the 590 quoted baht we may give it a try,
during the day we watched Monarchy with David Starkey, a real treat if you like English and it has to be said French history, we watched up to the reign of Henry III, I mention French history as both countries at that time were closely linked, but then for us off to bed.

  1. Cherry's looks the place to eat!

Their buffet table was positively groaning under the weight of all their goodies!

    Looks really good value, Stan.

  2. Dear Mocha Joe, Cherry's has to be one of the best deals in Pattaya for food, the selection and service are first rate, the prices more than reasonable, since this visit we have been back and have another trip planed for next week! best regards, Stan and Diana.
