Back To The Market,

we needed some cabbage amongst other things,

whilst waiting for Diana I noticed this guy hitting durians to see if they are ripe,

not the easiest job in the world to skin one, the fruits have an extremely prickly skin,

Diana returning, mission accomplished, coleslaw with our fish and chips this evening,

then off to Walking Street, Juu called to say he was in town, what better excuse did I need?

the restaurants before Soi Blues Factory were a bit quiet,

but it was still early evening,

 Walking Street was crowded though,

whilst in Champions Brian called in to say  Hi, a very pleasant evening was had by all, then time to return home, it had been raining,

luckily not to much,

we all walked past the shrine at the front of the VC Hotel as Juu had parked his car in the car park at the side of the hotel,

Brian accompanied us Juu had some fruits to give to Brian and his wife,

whilst in the car park I spotted this beauty,

a Maserati Quattroporte, for the technical, the standard Quattroporte is fitted with the familiar 4.2-liter 8-cylinder engine, found under the hood of last year’s model, it is rated at 400 hp, and sends power to the rear wheels through a ZF-sourced 6-speed automatic transmission (the Quattroporte no longer offers the sequential transmission from earlier years), the new high-performance Quattroporte S adopts the new 4.7-liter 8-cylinder engine shared with Maserati’s GranTurismo S, with greater displacement, it is rated at 425 hp, nice,

then feet up for another couple of episodes of Expedition Africa, by now the group have divided into two fractions, it is worth remembering at the stage they are now at when British born John Rowlands, later known as Henry Morton Stanley made his journey as a special correspondent for the New York Herald, he was nearly shot by one of his own group, the same malaise seems to have over taken his present day counterparts, I am pretty sure if some one had a gun there would have been shots fired! with that we were off to bed.
