we met at the Punch & Judy,
a pint outside,
and a happy Steve, relaxing between classes,
we took advantage of the Punch & Judy's 199 baht pint and a burger,
later in the evening I called round to Steve's shop,
he specialises in courses for technical divers, mostly in the professional world, if you are thinking of a future in this field his website is here,
originally other than to say Hi, I had called round to ask Steve if he knew any one that had a lathe, I should have known better, Steve had one!
the up pipes I had put in the bathrooms did not make a 100% fit so I wanted a lathe to turn some new fittings down with a machined tapper,
so plastic in the chuck, let the games commence,
just out of interest machining plastic has two problems, if it is machined too slow it breaks off in small chunks, too fast and it melts,
not quiet tapered enough,
so a slight adjustment and all is well, tomorrow off to buy a meter of plastic pipe and try out the new improved fittings, many thanks to Steve,
after our evening meal Mark called by for a cup of tea and a chat, when he left Steve called, so I was off to meet him back at the Punch & Judy for a pint,
we whiled away the hours, then home, feet up for a DVD,
first for the evening Dracula, this version of Dracula is closely based on Bram Stoker's classic novel of the same name and was the one parodied in Dracula: Dead and Loving It, both very enjoyable,
another watching of Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl rounded off the evening, a tale of pirates and their adventures, then off to bed.
Hi Stan,
ReplyDeleteI have noticed that 'The Punch & Judy' seems a favourite haunt of yours.
It looks a nice watering hole, excellent grub and all at a resonable price.
Can you just remind me where in Pattaya it is located please.
Dear Mocha Joe, I must admit the Punch & Judy is a favorite of mine, it is situated on the road that runs from Pattaya to Thepprisit, the easiest way to describe how to get there is if you know the TukCom center go out of the front entrance and turn right on Pattaya Tai, when you reach the traffic lights turn right into Third Road, at the next set of lights turn left into Soi 17, keep going until you see the Liberty Mansions Hotel with the Lion bar underneath, bear right the road then goes to the left, the Punch & Judy is then about 200 yards on your right, if you go past the Eden Hotel on your left you have gone a bit too far, or from Thepprisitt take the road that goes to the Eden Hotel the one nearly opposite the go kart track, and the Punch & Judy will be on your left, best regards, Stan and Diana.
