This Another One Of Those Good Luck Stories I Like So Much,

a four-and-a-half inch high elephant is making the news this time,

an unnamed elderly woman from North Dorset, who died within the last year, had no idea the bronze elephant was made in the 16th century, in Italy or Germany, and modelled on a real elephant belonging to Maximilian, the Arch Duke of Austria, it is believed to be based on Soliman the Magnificent, a young Asian elephant given to Maximilian, as a wedding gift, although it is a shame the lady owner died not knowing it's true value, her dependents have had a £59,750 windfall, not bad for some thing thought to be of no value.
