Another One Of Those 'Good Luck' Stories I like So Much,

this time about a doorstop,

a bit big for one I know but the clock was out of place in Kiera Griffin's 1970s bungalow, so it was relegated to the garage for many years after she inherited it from grandmother, but a recent trip to the Antiques Roadshow meant that she discovered she had a £20,000 treasure on her hands, expert Richard Price spotted it as a French Empire-style ormolu and patinated bronze mantel clock dating from the 19th century, 'it is of wonderful quality, it could do with a decent restoration but the figures are solid bronze and beautifully cast,' he said, from doorstop to treasure in a day, lucky or what!
