Straight On To The Post Today,

as we are up early for a trip to immigration,

you may remember we are staying in today as we are waiting for some one from Home Works to arrive to try to stop the slight hiss from out television sound system, but I did pop out for some milk and spotted this Lamborghini in our street,

I was not sure if it was a real one, but I guess it is, for no other reason than the size of the disc brakes and the Lamborghini callipers, nice,

we waited in till about 5.00 in the afternoon, they still had not called round, so I popped over to the store on my motorbike, a few quick phone calls from the staff there and I was told some one would be at the house at 6.30,

sure enough two guys arrived and started playing with wires at the back of the receiver/amplifier, after 20 minuets or so of playing with it a decision was made, the fault was in the unit, not in the speaker wiring, so out it came and they took it back to Home Works, so for now I am waiting for a telephone call to see what happens next,

after our evening meal and watching some of the excellent Gold Rush, we watched the last in the Prime Suspect series, The Final Act, retirement looms for Detective Superintendent Tennison, but as her career draws to a close, the body of a missing schoolgirl is found, and the hunt for her killer begins, she also has her personal demons to confront as well, due to her job being all important to her she has no family life to speak off, not to mention her alcoholism, a great series which we both enjoyed,

to round the evening off, we watched two episodes of Upstairs, Downstairs, A Faraway Country About Which We Know Nothing, as 165 Eaton Place reopens its doors, Lady Agnes' concern for her children reveals a dark secret about Mr Pritchard, Sir Hallam's preoccupation with burgeoning Nazi Germany leads him into dangerous waters, which sets the scene for the rumblings of war, followed by The Love that Pays the Price, downstairs, Mrs Thackeray makes a momentous decision, which throws the running of the house into chaos, Blanche and Mr Amanjit continue to clash, but with war looming their differences are forgotten as refuges are brought from Europe to be resettled in Great Britain, after that we were off to bed.
