Another 'Good Luck' Story,

also concerning a painting,

artist Christian Furr and gallery owner John Houston are on tenterhooks after the painting was taken to auction house Sotheby's to be carefully examined, the painting was purchased by Christian and a partner a few weeks ago from a private collection in Oxfordshire, but could this be a long lost Turner? John said: 'while Turner rarely painted two of the same paintings we believe that on this occasion he would have made an exception due to it being so highly championed by Victorian art critic John Ruskin',

the artwork in question may not have been recorded in the discoveries of Turner paintings as most were donated to the nation after his death – and it is possible he may have given this painting away and that it has been privately owned for the 180 years since Turner's death, is it or is it not a genuine Turner? only time and experts at Sotheby's in London will tell, now the good bit, if it is genuine the new owners will be looking at £20million pay day, good luck or what!
