Is It Only In The UK,

that parents are banned from cheering on their children on sports days,

or do other counties support this rule? sending your child to a school which became a specialist sports college in 2002 and has links with top football, rugby and hockey clubs I would have thought that parents would be welcome to support their youngsters, but not if the sports school in question is the 1,280-pupil Lea Valley High, in Enfield, North London

PE director Laura Hunt, wrote: 'We appreciate that parents may wish to support their children, but we have to ensure appropriate child protection policies are adopted, as such, we cannot permit parents or other adults on site at these times', what a horrible way to encourage kids to take up sports without a single parent being allowed to share perhaps their child's greatest moment in winning at a sport in a sports school, but back to my question are parents banned from sports days in other countries or is Ms. Hunt who is supported by head teacher Janet Cullen on some sort of crusade?
