Do Not Mess With Fish 178,

and you thought fish were fun!

although not a record angler Andy Parker had a surprise when this monster sized eel took his bait, after a 40 minuet struggle the catch was his, weighing in at 96lb, he was fishing from the 17ft Anne Clare 35 miles off Torquay, in Devon, but the eel does have one record, it is the biggest caught in British waters this year, the actual record is for the biggest conger eel caught by rod and line in UK waters stands at 133lbs and was caught in 1995 by Vic Evans off Brixham, Devon, crikey the record eel is approximately 30% bigger/longer than this one, the boat is only 17 foot long so if you break the record by a significant amount it could be as long as the boat!
