In The Late Afternoon Joe An Avid Reader Of Our Blog Called By,

he had flown in a few days before to meet us,

so we just had to go for a few drinks,

there are lots of afternoon bars where you can stop in for a few drinks,

this one I have forgotten the name of,

also this one, but I know we were made very welcome inside,

over the road a few chickens being bar-b-qued,

no prizes for guessing the name of this one,

in Thailand there are lots of 'Mom and Pop' stores, this is the Filipino equivalent, they are called sari-sari stores,

then for our evening meal the Cottage Kitchen,

we have eaten here on every trip we have made to Diana's family,

a quarter moon I am guessing,

the outside sign to look for from the road,

and above the door,

Christmas tree on the way in,

spacious seating area,

we were early so we had plenty of choice as to where to sit,

so naturally we sat near the aquarium,

the sign says it all, for us it really is the best in town,

Joe started with a soup, I went for the prawn creole,

which was almost a meal in itself,

'Cheers!',

between courses we both eat some delicious home made bread,

for our main courses Joe went with a chicken dish, I decided on a blackened steak,

this from the menu just about sums it up,
the steak was absolutely delicious,

we then continued our mission to have a look (drink) in as many bars as time and wallet would allow,

many of the bars that are further up the strip close at midnight, but in town they are open till 3 or 4 in the morning,

Joe liked this one!

we finally ended up at one just opposite the hotel,

so a quick night cap there and we were off to bed.
