It Must Be So Nice To Live In A County That Is So Awash With Spare Cash,

that it can commission this piece of sculpture for £483,000,

I am guessing the residents that are served by Shropshire Council want for nothing, the concrete artwork was commissioned to commemorate the 200th birthday of Shrewsbury’s most famous son, Charles Darwin, the project was headed by the Quantum Leap project, but they dropped the ball, or bag of concrete I should have said when Labour councillor Jon Tandy asked for the Audit Commission to investigate the sculpture, he said: 'it is unbelievable even the Angel of the North cost less, it should never have been built',

and the reason Jon Tandy asked for an audit? the final cost of the artwork came to £1million! your local council working for you!
