We Were Up Early,

well it was Christmas morning,

I had an idea what my present was going to be when Diana said not wear a shirt!

then it was Diana's turn, all week she had been rattling and shaking her presents,

and this is what they were,

hair clips, they always seem to break so she now has ten or twelve in reserve,

the next one did not rattle,

as it was a dress,

this one was really difficult to undo,

we nearly had to resort to using a pair of scissors,

Diana got there in the end, a gold coloured dress, so I guess we will have to visit a gold shop to get some thing to match it!

the last one, a gold and black number,

then off to Nick & Maureen's we were going to spend Christmas with them, Diana dressed in green and red like one of Santa's little helpers,

all set and ready to go,
Diana taking a self portrait,

and very nice she looks too,

we settled down to a few drinks by the pool,

the water looked so inviting, but it was for some reason freezing cold,

'Ah!',

it was all too much for Ta-Taa,

then Christmas lunch,

prawn cocktails for starters,

conical hats were the order of the day,

but first we had to pull a few crackers,

it was all great fun,

the good news was that we had plenty of crackers,

and we had not heard many of the jokes inside them, like these,
what do you call a line of men outside a hairdressers?
.
.
.
a barber queue!

what do you call a penguin in the dessert?
.
.
.
lost!

what do you call some one who makes clothes for rabbits?
.
.
.
a hare dresser!
these were the good ones you do not want to hear the others!
roast turkey next with all of the trimmings,

then lets begin!

but Ta-Taa decided to sit this one out,

presents under the tree,

all excitement now,

as we opened ours,

Diana can hardly wait,

the same for Maureen,

and guess what?

chocolates, diet starts next week of course,

for dessert what could be better than traditional Christmas pudding with home made brandy butter? the whole meal was so nice, a huge thank you to Nick & Maureen for going to so much trouble,
and then the fun began, Monopoly,

first blood went to Nick,

Ta-Taa was completely underwhelmed,

during the next game Diana thought I needed a pair of earrings,

not to sure about them myself,

but they brought me a bit of luck as I won the last game of the evening, by now it was late, or I should say early in the morning, so with that we were off to bed.
