so here is one we have not seen before,

using sheets of Baltic birch they are glued together to make a 3D underwater map, starting with a bathymetric chart (the underwater equivalent of a topographic map), the contours are laser-cut and placed one on top of another to create a wall hanging of various parts of the U.S.A. the store is called Below The Boat,

naturally for me a map of Cape Cod that has an island called Martha's Vineyard would be my choice, but what a novel idea, the store has only been open since December 9th, so far about 26 maps are available, but there are more to follow if the venture is a success, it seems so simple I wonder that no one had thought of making an underwater map this way before.
