Do As I Say,

not as I do,

seems to be the case at Harlow’s Welfare Rights & Advice service, staff arrived to find that they had been locked out by the local council, pity they did not heed their own advice that bills should be paid, the eviction comes just a week after the charity’s trustees launched legal proceedings against the council to seek a judicial review of the authority’s decision to terminate its contract in a row over unpaid debts, chairman of trustees Les Coben said: 'We are shocked at this latest action by the council, we were given to understand that no action would be taken while mediation was being explored and a judicial review was still outstanding',

council leader Mark Wilkinson insisted the authority had acted entirely within the constraints of the law – and said he hoped the council could now speed up its search for a new service provider, He added: 'I sincerely hope that the council can now resolve any outstanding issues associated with HWRA and be able to move forwards to secure alternative service provision for the people of Harlow',

the repossession has also left domestic abuse charity Safer Places without access to the building, part of which had been sublet to the organisation by HWRA in an agreement the council claimed was unlawful, it must be me but with all of these people giving processional advice how could things come to this state of affairs?
