Today We Were Up Early,

as we were going fishing,

on our way out I noticed a few more of the hibiscus had flowered,

every couple of weeks or so I have been adding some fertiliser,

and it seems to be working, this one another doubled flowered example,

the place we fish at is called the Mamak Fishing Park, it is off of Soi Nub Plan Wan, (spelt as it sounds), turn into the Soi from Sumkivitt, over the railway crossing and continue for a couple of miles, the road starts to go downhill, near the bottom of it you will see this pink building on the left, the road the fishing park is in is almost opposite, follow that for a while and the fishing park is on the left,

 the fishing park's card,

and map,

we started the day with clear blue skies,

but then rain clouds started rolling in,

it must have been raining at the park over the past few weeks,

as on our last visit these mushrooms were not here but they need lots of water to make them grow,

then let the fishing commence!

but try as we might all we could do was watch the clouds roll by as Nick and myself remained fishless,

Diana was unfortunately hungry so giving up on catching a fish we ordered some Thai food,

naturally no sooner had the food arrived than I caught a fish,

a nice one for the pot,

Diana was all smiles as she took the fish to the kitchen to be cleaned and cooked,

then the rain set in,

but luckily not for long, then in the distance on the farshore a white Egret landed,

he made his way along the far bank,

I guess looking for frogs and fish,

it was quite strange really this was the first white Egret that we've actually seen at the park,

considering the number of fish here we all thought we would have seen many more, then more rain clouds started to come in,

the first fish of the day was cooked and served with garlic,

after a brief shower the skies started to clear,

then I was into another fish,

Nick very kindly gave a hand in bringing in,

another keeper,

then it was his turn next to bring the score to 2-1,
but unfortunately it was one of those fish that was so full of bones it doesn't make for good eating,

so back he went,

in almost no time Nick was into another fish,

bringing the score to 2 all,

and it was in fact one the largest fish that we had caught here,

so I had to step up to the task to try and win the day,

so with a lucky flower from Diana behind my ear I set to work,

and caught the last fish of the day,

so the final score from the day 3-2 to me,

Ta-Taa did not seem that impressed,

so we ate one at the park and took two home to eat over the next few days,

then back to Nick & Maureen's, for a lovely roast dinner followed by cheese and biscuits,

then on to the next part of the evening, a game of Monopoly, which I have to say I won again the same as last time we all meet for a game, we all had a wonderful day and evening, we said our goodbyes to Nick and Maureen and made our way home, so a big thank you to them for looking after us so well, after arriving home we watched a couple shows on television, than as it was by now late we were off to bed.
