Woodfield Primary School Closed In 2008,

because education chiefs ruled the school had too many empty places,

and was actually demolished one year later, so you can imagine how amused locals were when council workers from Cheshire West and Chester Council (CWaC) arrived to paint the yellow 'school keep clear' signs along the road, the council admitted the mistake and said that next time the council workmen were in the area the signs in road would be painted over, one Kingsway resident, who asked not to be named, said: “We wondered what was going on when the workmen turned up, We couldn’t believe it when we came home later on and saw the markings had been redone, that road can be busy but I don’t think there is much chance of any pupils crossing it to get to the school anytime soon, it’s a bit of a joke really,”

pity the ratepayers that have to pay for the councils mistake through their rates and then have to pay for the mistake to be corrected at their cost again, I guess in my day we would be given 100 lines, no wait a minute, the council workmen have already painted the lines so I guess that is the same, your local council working for you.
