I Have Never Really Thought Of Crocheting,

 as an art form,

but some people do and take it to extremes, like covering a four-car locomotive in Technicolour camo in Lodz, Poland,

it is the work of Textile artist Olek, she was born Agata Oleksiak in 1978 in Poland. In 2000, she received a BA in Cultural Studies from Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan, Poland and relocated to New York City, where she is currently based, Olek’s work has been exhibited in galleries, museums and public spaces worldwide and featured in numerous publications such as TIME Magazine, The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, New York Magazine, Newsweek/Daily Beast, Village Voice, Artinfo, PBS, CNN, CBS, ABC and NBC.,

for a few more pictures have a look at more of her work here, I have to admit before seeing this I had never thought of crocheting as an artwork, what will artist come up with next?
