We Had A Quiet Day,

well it rained most of it so we stayed in,

but is eased off in the evening so we headed for the weekend night market on Thepresitt Road, the view looking towards Jomtiem did not look promising,

or the view of the clouds inland for that matter,

but hopefully the rain will hold off for the evening, the lamp shop branching out into T shirts as they now take over half of the what once was a lamp stall only,

one of the many 100 baht each stalls now spring up,

it appears that a motorbike display will be opposite the bar this evening,

 the fruit and bug stalls,

the slushy stall now ready for customers,

 the food aisles were packed,

 unlike the pet section,

some Sterling silver for sale on one side of the pet aisle,

and lots of pet products on the other,

as it is getting colder there are many dog coats for sale,

sunset over the market, I guess star gazing is not on for this evening,

here one of the stall holders is making up a jar of fresh coconut milk,

whilst this one fries chicken in boiling oil,

the stall holders must know rain is on the way, at least awnings are being put out just in case,

one of the many souvenir stalls,

I had not realised that Barbie dolls were so popular out here,

normally the pet stall behind the bar is hidden from view as there are always customers looking at it, but I managed to get a clear shot of it this evening,

looking back inland it still looked pretty cloudy,

we were joined this evening by Steve,

 as well as Brian,

there was a crowd of people outside the bar this evening watching television, Thailand was playing China at volleyball, I will not mention who won in case you have not seen the result yet,

the skies seemed to be getting darker, not only because it was getting late but more clouds were rolling in,

our next stop, the Punch and Judy,

for our evening meal, chicken pate for Steve,

a shared prawn cocktail for us,

for our main courses Diana decided on Thai food,

whilst Steve and myself had the fish and chips,

for the evening I took the still pictures, whilst Steve shot the movie, we had an enjoyable meal as usual, saying our goodbyes to Steve we made a move for home,

we watched some of our usual favorites plus another rerun of Hellboy II, which we both thoroughly enjoyed, hopefully a Hellboy 3 will be made, but alas it appears not, by now it was late so for us we were off to bed.
