The Big Day Has Arrived,

so we went to Diana's family's house,

where preparations have been ongoing,

a quick hello to some of the family friends,

we then waited for the beautician,

it was Donna's turn to sit in the chair,

it was watched by many,

then his make up began,

Doisane was first, everyone had their face lightly made up,

it is always worse being the first of anything,

so by now Donna knew what to expect,

meanwhile in the kitchen food was continuously being prepared,

and there we are, both finished this part of the procedure,

next Diana,

hair back,

 and the foundation is applied,

all set to go to the next stage,

but Mum is next,

so here goes,

nearly finished,

and all done,

Daisy also had her make up on,

Diana's was nearly finished,

as was Diosalyn's,

hair treatment was next,

nearly done,

and now all finished,

one of the other bridesmaids has just arrived,

as Diana helps with Daisy's hair,

now it is Diana's turn,

just a few more things to do,

then time to change,

as Donna comes downstairs first in her bridesmaids dress,

and here they all are, Diana is in white as she is the Maid of Honor,

and she looks as beautiful as ever,

Diosalyn came downstairs next,

as Mum and Sandio got ready to leave,

then we were off, hundreds will be at the reception,

it was just a short drive to the church,

we had a quick look inside the church,

before making our way to the reception area,

the reception was outside of the brides parents house,

with lots of seating to the side of the house,

 Diosalyn and daughter Daisy,

 another bridesmaid,
 and Daisy in her outfit,

 the lucky groom Sonny,

and lucky me for being with Diana,

naturally I had to wear the traditional Filipino shirt the barong,

Diana and Diosane, also waiting nervously was Diana as she has to give a speech,

one of the bridesmaids with her rose petal basket,

and one bridesmaid from the brides family,

 not long now,

there were so many people attending the wedding,

the members of the brides family,

 the bridesmaids,

well I just had to get into the picture!

the service begins as Sonny walks into the church,

 with Mum and Dad,

everyone is waiting for the bride,

all set and ready to go,

the number of well wishers growing by the minute,

then the ceremony begins and after the wedding vows are taken it is time for a few pictures,

 of the happy couple,

 and their attendants,

now husband and wife with their parents,

with family members and friends from the brides family,

 and the grooms,

it was then time for the reception,

I thought at first 300 or so people were here,

but I was more than a trifle out,

the final number topped just over 600 guests,

Sonny and Dang very kindly gave Diana and myself this keepsake of the wedding,

we also before the wedding received this beautiful hand made by them invitation card,

 the food was so tasty,

 Kevin and Dioshane relaxing,

the couple and their parents on the stage,

 behind Diana's parents,

                            a truly spectacular wedding cake,

then comes the time to cut the cake,

 and try some of it,

 sealed with a kiss,

two white doves are then released,

it was then Diana's turn as maid of Honour to make a speech,

 which she tearfully did,

and made a splendid job of it,

 we then wished Dang,

and Sonny every happiness in life,

then came the bit that had Diana in tears again,

me struggling to get out of my barong,

the photographers did a first rate job, this was a huge sign that they had printed to go up in the backdrop of the stage, the three guys in the company really did well, I am sure we all wish Sonny and Dang all the very best for their future happiness, after saying our goodbyes we had a little nightcap as it was still very early,

we called in at one of the bars that Joe goes to,

 then we hit the town,

 oh the agony of choice!

we stopped for one drink in a few,

 well quiet a few actually,

it has been over a year since we were last here,

and on the surface it did not seem that much had changed,

but it had, many of the places that we went to have changed and one hotel we stayed in is no more,

so one for the road and we are off to bed.
