Up Early And Off Fishing,

we went to our usual place the Mamak Fishing Park,

 with Nick and Maureen,

 it was a beautiful day,

with not a cloud in the sky,

an even better day for me with the first,

 fish of the day,

no prizes for guessing where Diana was taking it,

to the lakes kitchen, and shortly it arrived back,

it looked, smelled and tasted delicious, well you could not get a meal any fresher unless you wanted it raw!

 then number two,

quickly unhooked by one of the lakes staff,

another keeper, so into the net he went,

 next number three,

 another one to take home,

then it was Nick's turn to catch a fish,

 again quickly unhooked,

in to the net and Nick was back fishing,

Diana decided to take a few Z's,

a damselfly also decided to take a rest on my float,

Nick was then in to another,

that was unhooked and put in the net, at the close of play the score stood at 7 - 2 to me, the strange thing is we were both using the same bait, hooks and method, also we were fishing side by side, just a few feet apart, I guess I must have been in the lucky spot,

 this is the parks card,

with a map on the back, if you want to spend a day by the lake it is off of Soi Nub Plan Wan, (spelt as it sounds), turn into the Soi from Sumkivitt, over the railway crossing and continue for a couple of miles, the road starts to go downhill, near the bottom of it you will see the road the fishing park is on the right hand side, follow that for a while, it twists and turns a bit and the fishing park is on the left next to a soccer ground, there are rods and tackle for hire and bait to buy, plus a fridge full of beer!,

next stop to back to Nick and Maureen's, although it was sunny it was in fact quiet cold,

we had our starters outside, but soon made a move for indoors as it was getting colder,

Nick had cooked a delicious chicken curry which we followed with a home made Bakewell tart that Maureen had made, followed by cheese and biscuits and ice cream, next Monopoly, I will spare you the details, suffice to say that Diana won, after thinking Nick and Maureen for looking after us so well we made a move for home, it was a tiring day, so we just watched a couple from Cheers then as the midnight hour approached we were off to bed.
