Another Day When We Are Up Bright And Early,

so straight on to today's post,

the reason we were up so early was that we were out fishing, with Nick and Maureen,

two weeks ago when we were last here the park was crowded,

but today no one on our side of the lake,

or opposite us,

I was soon into the first fish of the day,

 which was a keeper,

 'I caught that!',

no sooner had one of the parks helpers returned from the kitchen than I was into another one,

 easy does it,

 'I caught that one too!',

just as this one was being unhooked,

 Nick was in to one,

and a nice sized one it was too,

the first fish of the day soon made it's appearance again, covered in garlic,

 I caught another,

then Nick caught another,

 followed by myself,

 then one more,

although it does not look it, this rain cloud coming our way looked really dark, but the heavens were good to us as it did not rain,

by now the score was 9 to me and 7 to Nick,

we were having a great day as the fish seemed to be biting most of the time,

we decided to keep just a few, this is the owner/manager of the lake holding the ones we are taking,

and I just had to have my picture taken with them as well, the final score Nick 17, with 21 for myself, it was one of the best days we have had in years,

 here is the parks card,

with a map on the back, if you want to spend a day by the lake it is off of Soi Nub Plan Wan, (spelt as it sounds), turn into the Soi from Sumkivitt, over the railway crossing and continue for a couple of miles, the road starts to go downhill, near the bottom of it there is a pink building on the left hand side opposite is the road the park is on, so take that right hand road, the tree shop is no longer there, but follow the road for a while, it twists and turns a bit and the fishing park is on the left next to a soccer ground, there are rods and tackle for hire and bait to buy, plus a fridge full of beer!,

after a great day at the park, though to be fair it is a great day by the water whether we catch a few fish or not, we were back to Nick and Maureen's,

 for a splendid roast meal,

which we all thought we deserved more than usual for catching so many fish,

 'Cheers!',

for our dessert Nick had made an apple crumble with Granny Smith's apples, it is difficult to get cooking apples over here, but evidently Granny Smith's do not fall apart like other cooking apples,

Nick made the crumble with wheat flour,

now here is a tip that Nick mentioned, to stop the apples from going brown add some lemon juice,

after a delicious meal on to the serious part of the evening, Monopoly, no prizes for guessing what is coming next,

I won! the reason we went straight on to the post today is that we were told that tomorrow (Friday) there will be a flower show at the temples near the Buddha mountain, so we want to be there first thing before it gets too hot, also of course it may not actually be there as we heard it was going to be held third hand, back to today, we said our thanks and farewells to Nick and Maureen and made our way home, a quick look at the Hungry Sailors on TMN and we were then off to bed.
