I Have Split Today's Post Into Two Parts,

as we have lots of pictures,

today after saying our goodbyes to Mick and Ja we made our way to the Friendship car park, past this souvenir seller,

the reason we were going there is that in the afternoon to celebrate the Chinese New Year there is a dragon show,

no bikes or cars in the car park today,

but a few souvenir sellers,

with their dragons,

this one even had LED eyes!

the stage was set,

the pedestals in place,

a couple of performers go through their paces,

the last thing you want to do here is fall off,

every step must be 100% on time,

I wonder what these two youngsters are thinking?

as they watch the older members of the troupe,

well it does not look that difficult,

so lets have a go,

what do you think?

here we go,

one, two, three,

and we are nearly there,

done it!

now lets try leaping from pedestal to pedestal, easy!

some of the older performers also start to practise,

the dragon made its first entrance,

but it is the last act,

so it has to wait its turn, in front of it the mobile carrier for the drum in the band,

one of the junior performers waiting for the start of the show,

this firework looks small, but Wow! it was loud,

then the show began,

with small dancing dragons and their followers,

making their way to the temple in the car park grounds,

and the small shrine inside it,

next up the steps to the foyer of the store,

and down again,

the two young followers,

clowning around,

then to the front of the store,

all of the time although a bit difficult to see the band kept playing without missing a beat,

these two dragons still chasing the globe,

and being made to climb up onto tables,

where the globe is held aloft by the man holding the globe,

where he then did a death defying spectacular backward somersault,

landing safely on the ground,

all recorded by the TMN cameraman, so we might even be on cable television this evening!

the two youngsters still putting on a show,

but it is now time for a rest,

and a photo shoot,

a big smile for the camera,

this gentleman wanted a picture of the clowns taken with his Teddy bear,

and a small tip as a thank you,

the TMN cameraman reviewing his footage,

we were then treated to a traditional dance,

by two groups,

of ladies,

the car park was packed,

as the show began,

as the dance finished,

some of the other performers,

put on their costumes,

for the next part of the show,

but first,

across to the temple,

and around the foyer,

stopping briefly at the store front,

a quick nod of the head,

a race round the pedestals for luck,

and the chase is on,

the dragon has to catch the chap in the mask,

and the dragon tries really hard to do so,

naturally the masked man keeps jumping from one pedestal to the other,

forcing the dragon to make spectacular leaps,

then he jumps to the ground,

forcing the dragon to back track,

and leap across the gaps again,

it was all,

if some what dangerous,

great fun, also remember there are two people in that suit!

this part of the show came to an end,

the pedestals were removed,

so we now had a clear view of the band,

the drum was loaded in to its mobile carrier,

to make room for the grand finale,

as the performers changed out of their stage clothes.
