we made a post about sand painting,


 but these paintings are not made of only sand, sometimes dyed rice, flour and the petals of flowers are used,


throughout the predominantly Hindu country of India, a folk art has been practised for many centuries, known varyingly as Kolam, Muggu and Mandana (among other names in this huge and diverse nation), the art of Rangoli is created, it signifies a sacred welcoming zone for Hindu deities, for a far more greater insight into these beautiful works of art have a look here.
