a $5 gold coin, a $1 silver coin, and a half dollar clad (non-precious metal) coin,
the products are the first curved coins produced by the US Mint and the rounded design distinguishes the pieces from other, more everyday coins,
they were made to recognise and celebrate 75 years of the National Baseball Hall of Fame in the United States,
to select the final design, the US Mint held the
2014 Baseball Hall of Fame Commemorative Coin competition and the winning
design, by Cassie McFarland, was selected from a group of
sixteen finalists, the selected concept promotes two elements that
represent the very basic symbols of the country's national pastime, the coins
also feature the text "Liberty—In God We Trust" which has been on all
US coins since 1864, only available in limited editions, the coins go on sale
starting March 27, 2014, now this is only a guess, but it might be a idea to
buy a few of these in the hope they might go up in value, but as I know nothing
about coin collecting as we would say, 'up to you!' and no it is not April 1st!
