Up Early,

and off fishing,

the skies looked pretty overcast as we tackled up,

but almost on the first cast I was into a fish,

and with a bit of help landed it,

we are going to eat that one,

 then Nick was into one,

it was a real monster as it striped line from Nicks reel, it made it's unstoppable way to the far side of the lake, then disaster, the line parted,

 but all was not lost,

as the first fish of the day made it's second appearance, fried with garlic,

Maureen was with us as well,

my attention was taken by a water borne spectator,

 a frog,

who decided to display his swimming technique by performing a swim past,

until he came to the bank for a rest,

well the day just slipped past, we did not catch another thing, so the score ended 1-0 to me, the strange thing was a few people in the next hut, who were fishing far out into the lake, were reeling them in one after another, but it looked like hard work, all of that long distance casting, so we stayed with the easy method, just drop a line in at the end of the rod and wait,

we were then back to Nick and Maureen's, outside on the patio we snacked on some of Maureen's home made sausage rolls, then moving inside,

roast pork, crackling and all the trimmings,

which were so nice, followed by cheese and biscuits and ice cream,

then on to the serious part of the evening, Monopoly, in no time at all Nick had a set of hotels on the yellow cards, which we all proceeded to land on until he won, in fact the game was over so quickly we decided on another one,

now here is the strange thing, yet again Nick collected all of the yellow cards in the first couple of rounds and the same thing happened, he won again with the same three properties! we thanked Nick and Maureen for looking after us so well, then home for a nightcap, we watched a few more episodes of Bones, then for us we were off to bed.
