After The Swim,

we went shopping,

tomorrow we are island hopping and going snorkeling, we booked some trips in the hotel but they do not offer all of them, so we went to this booking agent just down the hill from the hotel,

so we needed some bread to feed the fish, also I took a few pictures of some of the places and shops leading up to our hotel,

this one with cut flowers,

the new German bar,

and hotel, both nearly opposite Paddy's Palms,

and here we were back to the hotel,

Diana, Dioshane and Sandio had not played table football before, they loved it!

after that a few shakes all round,

well I just had to have a beer,

and as I was feeling a bit peckish a prawn cocktail,

and another round of soft drinks,

did I mention another couple of football games?

by now it was getting late, so we made our way back into town for our evening meal,

the main street looked quiet, but in fact the hotel was fully booked,

one of the many nice things on Koh Chang is that so many mature trees have been left rather than felled to make way for new developments,

there are of course lots of small shops on the main street like this one,

painting all manner of subjects,

some of the hotels have nice water features in front of them,

some of the cafes cook right on the street,

we are seeing more of these mini-bikes all of the time out here,

a view along the street,

crossing the road we walked past a number of stalls,

then cut through to the beach,

and took a look at what was on offer,

at the Sea Bar restaurant,

as you might expect lots of sea food,

steaks and spare ribs,

with lots of kebabs,

looking out to sea,

the sun had rapidly set,

and we still had not chosen our food yet,

the seating was nice,

with enough space between tables,

Diana's Mum,
and Diana,

Diana decided on a coconut shake,

our starters, onion rings and garlic prawns,

with steamed mussels,

'Cheers!',

from all of us,

by now the ribs and kebabs had arrived,

another 'Cheers!', from me,

we were looking forward to the fire show, but we were told that the children that perform the shows now had to go to school so no more shows, so we made our own,

this was the challenge,

Dioshane and Sandio,

had to jump in the air at the same time,

which is not as easy as it sounds,

when they are both laughing so much,

the jump had to be timed to perfection,

and Diana had to click the camera shutter at just the right time,

nearly there. but too much hair in Doishanes face,

then this one was as near as they could get,

well we all deserved an ice cream after that,

and some fresh fruit,

and a latte coffee for Mum,

I had an ice cream as well, it was so tiring watching all of that jumping about!

back to the hotel for another season of table football,

they both really enjoyed the game,

apparently where Diana's family live there are no table football machines, now there's a way to make a few bob, every time we played the machine it was 10 baht and we always from now on would make it the best of 10 games, but we had an early start tomorrow, so for us we were all off to bed.
