I Have Split Today's Post Into Two Parts,

as it is easier to use smaller numbers of pictures in each post,

so we were up early and off, to the buffalo show at Maprachan lake on Soi Siam Country Club Road,

we were in time to see the beauty pageant and contest,

each contestant being numbered for the judges,

and then led past the main stage,

but first for us a quick look around,

lots of stalls to look at,

these baby goats looked cute,

and you could buy a small bottle of milk to feed them, a kid feeding a kid!

we came to the end of the stalls,

at the starting end of the race,

 the competitors view,

we then made our way back to the end of the race looking at a few more stalls on the way, like this one,

squid, the whole squid and nothing but the squid,

the variety of foods on offer was almost endless, with popcorn,

 and candied fruits,

we decided to stop here for a coffee for myself,

 and a soup for Diana,

 back to watching the contestants,

this was not only a local competition,

as well as being numbered I noticed a few with Vietnam or Laos painted on their sides,

back past the kids,

this woolly one a new arrival,

we had a look around the beauty parlor,

the owners washing and brushing their animals,

and applying oil to their horns,

and then the beast decides to lay in the mud!

this pair of females were different for their coulour,

I thought at first they might be albino, but they did not have pink eyes,

but they did have a nice set of teeth,

more water to keep them cool,

we then spotted on of these drones,

as Diana will tell you I keep droning on about having one of these, I thought that the noise might have upset the animals, but at the height it was at you could hardly hear it and it did not upset the animals at all, so I guess I will have to start saving soon to buy one, (I wish),

by now the judging had begun in earnest,

and the animals and their owners congregating around the stage,

the crowd getting bigger by the minuet,

on the stage two people in costumes,

Mr and Mrs Buffalo I guess,

Diana taking some pictures on the phone,

we had another look at the stalls as more had been arriving all morning,

like this one selling locally made jewelry,

then a bit of high drama as this buffalo broke lose, at on stage it looked like it was heading our way so I ducked behind Diana, well I had the camera,

we made our way back to the bike,

unfortunately the racing did not start till the afternoon and we were going to meet up for lunch, so home we went, a quick shower then we were off out again.
